"A few weeks ago I was at the gas station late at night.

While I waited for my tank to fill, this man I didn't know made eye contact with me from another aisle.
He mouthed to me, "don't move" and motioned to the inside of his jacket...where he revealed a weapon.
He started approaching me. I activated my Birdie.
He sprinted back to his car and screeched off as a woman behind me called 911.
I am so thankful I had my Birdie alarm! Don't be afraid to pull it. The loud noise and flashing light are worth it if it means you are safe.
