Show HN: Magic Mango – A collaborative workspace to reverse-engineer ad creatives

We built a multiplayer workspace that helps creative marketing teams find inspiration, organize chaos, and reverse-engineer competitor ads using AI.

By Magic Mango Team

Hi HN,

We are three engineers who spent the last year trying to fix the broken workflow of creative marketing teams. We noticed that whenever a team needs to launch a new campaign, they struggle with three distinct phases: finding inspiration, organizing the chaos, and actually understanding why a competitor's ad works.

We built Magic Mango to solve these problems in that exact order.

The "Blank Page" Problem

We started by tackling the "blank page" problem. We realized that creativity usually starts with reference, so we built an ingestion engine focused initially on the Facebook Ads ecosystem (with plans to scale to other networks soon). You get a feed of market-validated ads, but you aren't limited to our database. If you want to track a brand we don't have, you simply paste their Facebook Ad Library link into the platform, and our system automatically ingests their active ads to populate your feed. It ensures you never run out of raw material.

From Chaos to Collaboration

But finding inspiration is useless if it just sits in a messy desktop folder or a Slack thread. We saw teams struggling to stay aligned, so we built the platform as a multiplayer workspace first. Instead of scattered screenshots, you and your team can build shared "universes" of inspiration. It allows everyone to access the same boards and organize references into a coherent strategy before a single pixel is designed.

The "Cursor" Model for Ad Creatives

Once you have the inspiration and the organization, the final piece is understanding. This is where we applied the "Cursor" model to ad creatives. We didn't want a magic button that just does everything for you; we wanted a tool that helps you build faster and better. You can drag creative into our chat, and because the AI understands the full context—the script, the visual structure, the pacing—you can interview the ad. You can ask it to extract the script, analyze the hook, or rewrite a value proposition. It turns the passive act of watching a competitor into an active session of reverse-engineering.

Where We Are Now

We spent the last few months validating this entire workflow in Brazil, refining it with heavy-usage teams. Now that the infrastructure is stable, we are opening it up to the US.

We have a 7-day free trial open to everyone. We'd love to hear if this workflow—Inspiration → Organization → AI analysis—feels natural to you, or if we are missing a step in the creative process.
