Summer eating with these smash burgers with pepperoncini sauce. I’m using @signatureselect’s high-quality, affordable ingredients to make these quick + easy, delish burgs’ come together! Find everything you need at @safeway or your local Albertsons Companies store! Recipe below! Pepperoncini Spread - ½ cup Signature SELECT mayonnaise - 2½ TBSP pepperoncini, chopped - 1½ TBSP pepperoncini juice - Kosher salt and black pepper to taste Smash Burger - 1lb Signature SELECT 80/20 ground beef - 3 brioche buns - 6 slices American cheese - Kosher salt and black pepper, to taste - Tomato Slices - Signature SELECT Spicy Pickle Chips - Signature SELECT butter lettuce - Avocado oil How-to 1. Add all ingredients to a bowl and mix to combine. Set aside to allow flavors to meld. 2. Remove ground beef from the fridge 45 mins before cooking. Meanwhile, make the burger sauce. 3. Preheat grill on HIGH and place griddle pan onto the grill grates. Divide beef into 2¼ ounces portions and roll into a ball. Place balls on a platter or baking sheet. 4. Once the grill is hot, generously salt the tops of beef balls and add black pepper to taste. Oil the griddle pan and spread evenly. Place two balls, seasoned side down onto the griddle. Quickly smash the burger down to about ⅛ inch thick using a burger smasher. 5. Cook for about 2 mins or until you notice the meat develop a brown, crispy layer. 6. Just before flipping, season the top of the burger. Flip the patty. Cook for another 2 mins or until you see the crust form. 30 secs before removing from the grill, place a slice of cheese on each patty. Once cheese melts, layer the patties on top of one another and assemble the burger.
