After 40+ long-haul flights, I finally figured out my anti-jet lag routine đ #AMDPartner
If youâre flying from LA to Tokyo (or anywhere with a big time difference), hereâs exactly how I prep before the flight and what I do during it to feel human when I land:
â
Start shifting my sleep schedule 3â4 days before bonus for a week or more
â
Avoid caffeine after 9 AM
â
Take morning walks for sunlight exposure
â
Eat dinner early to reset my internal clock
â
Set my watch to destination time as soon as I board
â
Stay awake on the flight to match Tokyoâs daytime
â
Avoid alcohol + drink tons of water
â
Get sunlight after landing and stay awake until 9 PM local time
đ» Bonus tip: I use the flight time to catch up on work or plan my trip on my @AMD-powered laptop because itâs super lightweight + long battery life = perfect for long hauls
Jet lag isnât 100% avoidable BUT this routine has helped me adjust MUCH faster, avoid that zombie feeling, and actually enjoy my first few days abroad!!!
Let me know what you to do help â The older Iâve gotten I really have to be serious about this routine!
